What is Gynecomastia?

Gynecomastia refers to the excessive development of abnormally large breasts in males. The term is derived from the Greek word “gyne,” which means "woman," and “mastos” which means "breast.” Any male, any age can suffer from Gynecomastia, even adolescents. Among adolescents, Gynecomastia symptoms usually disappear within a few months to a few years, at the most. Generally the result of a hormone imbalance, Gynecomastia is a buildup of adipose and glandular tissues.
